Built a Blog/E-commerce WordPress Website from Scratch
I took on the challenge of developing TheWorkersJournal.com, a blog and e-commerce website on WordPress using the Divi Theme from Elegant Themes.
The project involved starting the project from just an idea to a complete brand identity with a fully functional website and operational coaching service. The aim was to create an intuitive platform that would clarify and boost the client’s career blog and coaching business.
The project began when Eunice Asante brought her idea of starting a career coaching business to me. Together, we engaged in a brainstorming session that allowed us to refine her idea. This was followed by a discovery session, during which we identified a career blog and coaching service as the most promising direction for her business. The discovery session played a crucial role in solidifying the vision, goals, and next steps for the project, thereby establishing a strong foundation for the brand identity, website development, and subsequent marketing strategies.
I designed and developed a strategic brand logo, crafted persuasive messaging, and built a WordPress website that supports both blog and e-commerce functionalities. This includes virtual products, affiliate marketing, and coaching services. Since its launch, the site has enjoyed a consistent increase in visitors and clients month on month with increased user engagement by 166% validating the effectiveness of the strategies employed and the user-friendly design of the website.
